Green Excavator Operator Training

Malang Regency, December 1, 2025 — PT Antam Resourcindo (Resources ID) together with the Indonesian Learning Centre (ILC) Vocational Training Institute (LPK) officially opened the Green Excavator Operator Training for Papuan local youths. This activity is a tangible step in the effort to strengthen and develop superior and competitive human resources (HR) in the mining sector and its supporting industries.

In her welcoming speech, Director of Finance and General Affairs of Resources ID, Evi Susman, emphasized the importance of building human resources that are not only competent, but also superior and highly competitive in their field. She also motivated all training participants who will undergo an intensive program for the next 21 days.

“We believe that the quality of HR is the key to industrial sustainability. Therefore, we hope all participants can follow this training with full enthusiasm and commitment,” said Evi Susman.

The event was also attended by the Senior Manager of CSR and External Relation of PT GAG Nikel, Rudi Samual, who presented a profile of the company that operates in Papua and is strongly committed to empowering the local community. He stressed that many training participants are part of the local community who must be prepared to become competent workers.

“Mining equipment is a high-value investment. Therefore, operating it requires the right skills with an emphasis on the aspect of safety. We hope participants can learn earnestly, be disciplined, and understand all safety standards,” explained Rudi Samual.

This training program covers various important aspects, ranging from mastering heavy equipment, discipline, enthusiasm, to a thorough understanding of the duties and responsibilities as a trainee. Participants are expected to be able to absorb all the material and field practices as preparation for working professionally in the industrial world.

The event then continued with the symbolic signing of a cooperation agreement between Resources ID, represented by the Director of Finance and General Affairs, Evi Susman, and LPK ILC, represented by Jafar Shodiq as the Head of LPK ILC. This moment became the starting point for sustainable collaboration in creating skilled and competitive workers.

Through this cooperation, Resources ID and LPK ILC are committed to making a real contribution to increasing HR capacity, especially in the Papua region, and supporting responsible and sustainable mining industry development.
