Antam Resourcindo Completes Green Excavator Training for Local Papuan Talent

Malang, December 19, 2025 – PT Antam Resourcindo (Resources ID), together with the Indonesia Learning Centre (LPK ILC) vocational training institute, has officially closed the Green Excavator Training program for 15 local Papuan participants. This intensive 21-day training program was designed to strengthen the capacity of local human resources, ensuring they are ready to compete in the mining sector.

The closing ceremony marked the completion of a learning process that included heavy equipment mastery, workplace safety standards (K3), discipline, and the cultivation of professional attitudes required of heavy equipment operators. Participants were equipped with both theoretical knowledge and field practice as a foundation for entering the workforce.

In his remarks, the HC, GA & IT Senior Manager of PT Antam Resourcindo (Resources ID) highlighted the importance of continuous development in producing a ready-to-use local workforce. He stated that this training is the initial phase of the participants' professional journey, requiring consistency, a strong work ethic, and the ability to adapt to the working standards and technologies of the mining industry.

On the same occasion, the Chairman of the Indonesia Learning Centre (ILC), Jafar Sodiq, expressed his appreciation to all participants for their commitment and enthusiasm throughout the program. "This training is expected to serve as a valuable asset for these young Papuans to make a tangible contribution to the professional world. With the right skills and mindset, these participants can become an integral part of Papua's development."

Positive feedback also came from the trainees. Izchak Burham, one of the participants, shared that the program provided an invaluable experience he had never had before. "This experience is something completely new for me. I’ve often seen excavators, but this is the first time I could operate one directly. This has been a very meaningful learning experience," said Izchak.

Through this initiative, PT Antam Resourcindo (Resources ID) and the Indonesia Learning Centre (ILC) hope that participants return home not only with technical skills but also with the confidence and readiness to contribute to the workforce in the future.
